Who's Involved

The ECoWeB Project aims to improve our understanding of emotions and emotional well-being in 16-22 year olds by following 2000 young people across Europe for a year and measuring emotions on a mobile app and skills via a website. We will develop and test a mobile application (the MyMoodCoach app) to provide engaging and personalised tools to promote emotional well-being and prevent mental health problems in adolescents and young adults.

THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE MENTAL HEALTH FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AND TO CONTRIBUTE TO IMPORTANT SCIENCE!

The project team (see image above) involves world-leading research teams from 8 European nations (the UK, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Greece, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Switzerland) working together to improve our understanding of emotions and well-being in young people and to find better ways to promote good mental health for large numbers of young people.

The Universities involved in the trial are: Universities of Exeter and Oxford in the UK; University Jaume I in Spain; the Ludwig-Maximilians University - Munich in Germany; and the University of Gent in Belgium. Industry collaborators include Monsenso from Denmark, who are hosting the App and audEERING from Germany, who are collecting voice recordings for research into voice and mood.
